ECO - ISOL SPL

Description:

ECO – ISOL SPL is a water based, very smooth, high insulating, refractory paste die coating.

Function:

ECO – ISOL SPL is a very smooth coating designed for general application, providing excellent surface finish in the production of aluminium gravity & low-pressure die-casting’s.

Recommended application:

1) Prepare the die surface using a powdered blast abrasive (glass bead/aluminium oxide)

2) Heat the die upto approximately 200 OC and prepare the ECO – ISOL SPL solution, by thoroughly mixing to required dilution.

3) Optimum dilution rates should be 3-6 parts of soft or deionised water: 1 part ECO – ISOL SPL. We recommend using a Ford Cup (No. 4) to determine optimum dilution rate for your application.

4) Apply using standard compressed air spray gun from a distance, of approximately 30 to 40cm from the die face, ensuring a light even coating of between 100-150µm thick.

Shelf life:

6 months from date of manufacture.

Storage:

Store in dry ambient conditions avoiding extreme temperature. Do not allow product to freeze.
